Although &#8220;culo&#8221; may sound rude, it isn&#8217;t really a swear word per se, even though some expressions that use this word can be a bit over the top. <\/p>\n<p>I recorded a video showing them some of those expressions:<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"\u00bfCULO es una groser\u00eda? Expresiones con la palabra culo en espa\u00f1ol | Espa\u00f1ol con Mar\u00eda\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/72ADcTNzgBo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>I don&#8217;t give a damn<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This expression means &#8220;I DON&#8217;T CARE&#8221;; it&#8217;s the same as &#8220;whatever,&#8221; &#8220;whatever,&#8221; or &#8220;I couldn&#8217;t care less.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To go down the drain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This expression means to fall on one&#8217;s back. The opposite would be to fall face-first, to fall flat on one&#8217;s face (colloquial), to fall forward, or to fall face-down. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Ass of<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It sounds like &#8220;cule&#8221; and is used in the Colombian Caribbean as a synonym for &#8220;tremendous.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To pull a face &#8211; To make a face<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To pull a face, to show displeasure on one&#8217;s face, to have a bad attitude.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Asshole<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The dictionary defines &#8220;culero&#8221; as a person, someone who traffics drugs by hiding them in their anus, or a lazy person. However, colloquially, the meaning varies. In Mexico, it refers to a cowardly or malicious person, and in El Salvador, it refers to a homosexual.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Culillo  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Colombia and several Central American countries, it is fear or impatience.<\/p>\n<h3>Other expressions that use the word &#8220;CULO&#8221;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The middle of nowhere: A place far, far away.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Go to hell&#8221;: A Spanish expression that conveys disapproval or dislike toward someone. It is vulgar. <\/li>\n<li>Up to my ass: it&#8217;s the same as &#8220;up to my ears.&#8221; A place that&#8217;s really crowded or a situation you&#8217;re sick and tired of. <\/li>\n<li>To kiss someone&#8217;s ass: to flatter them excessively.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Estar enculado&#8221;: a vulgar expression meaning &#8220;to be in love.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guacamayos, there are hundreds of expressions in Spanish that use body parts, so I don&#8217;t see any reason why &#8220;culo&#8221; should be an exception.
