Bésame suavecito: music exercise to practice Spanish
Mis amores, you know that I love music and that I also think that singing and listening to music we can learn in a fun way any language. Today I prepare a musc exercise to practice Spanish. The song I used for this exercise is one a discovered some days ago and I really loved.
Let’s turn on the music to practice Spanish
This is a song sung by a CANTANTE DOMINICANA (domenican singer. Her name is Covi Quintana and the song is BÉSAME SUAVECITO. Let´ start the exercise.
INTRUCTIONS:
- Relax, the magic of this exercise is to do it while you have fun and enjoy a good song.
- In a piece of paper write the numbers from 1 to 10. Let a space after each number so you can write the missing word of the song lyrics.
- Listen to the song 3 times and complete the missing words in the lyrics. Just play the video and scroll down to the exercise. DON’T WATCH THE VIDEO because it’s a lyric video so the exercise will miss the point.

We haven’t finished the exercise
This is a very complete Spanish exercise. We won’t just practice our listening comprehension skills by listening to the song. We will also practice verbs conjugation in Spanish. Here is what you have to do: find ALL the verbs in the lyrics. Then conjugate each of those verbs in PRESENTE DEL INDICIATIVO and PASADO SIMPLE (also known as pretérito perfecto simple). DO it for all grammatical persons in Spanish. HELP: There are more than 10 verbs.
Example:
The song says ABRÍ, that’s the verb ABRIR (to open) conjugated in PASADO SIMPLE. Let’s conjugate it:
